Zero One Zero One was honored to be a part of MeetUp Addis program sponsored and hosted by the British Council. We celebrated International Women’s Day with three remarkable & dynamic thought leaders. First off, Magnificent Feven Tsehaye, Tchakka Origins, whose aromatic blend of oils carried us into the depths of Ethiopia’s conservation and treasures. She has crafted a well-researched set of beauty and therapeutic products and has already started exporting them. High-powered Rekik Bekele, Green Scene Energy, recited the moment she found her purpose in life – providing solar energy! She took us on a journey from girlhood to womanhood and to her dream of providing 600,000 households with solar power – i.e. 10% of the country’s needs. Last but not least, courageous Mimi Legesse, Teki Paper Bags, has her sight on business with social impact. She guided us on how she co-founded their social enterprise, how it serves so many deaf people, and her quest to get Ethiopia plastic-free & the government reserves the paper bags sector to empower persons living with disabilities. MeetUp Addis was sponsored and hosted by the British Council. We are extremely grateful to the British Council for their support in hosting this event Thank you,

We are pleased to announce that on February 28 and March 1, 2023, Zero-One Zero-One Tech and Entrepreneurship PLC, in collaboration with AASTU, organized an orientation program for 1520 new students. This program aimed to welcome and orient new students before the start of the academic year. Student orientation, also known as orientation week, fresh week, or welcome week, is when universities hold events to welcome and orient new students. During AASTU’s Big Welcome and Orientation Week, Zero-One Zero-One Tech and Entrepreneurship provided an opportunity for new students to make new friends, explore their new homes, and settle into university life. The program included informative sessions conducted by various departments where they explained their engagements and their curriculum, offering insight into each field. This will help the students make informed decisions when choosing their departments after one year. The program also provided students with additional information such as the number of colleges, departments, and laboratories they have to choose from, enabling them to make thoughtful decisions. The orientation’s objective was to brief students on all the essential information they need as they prepare to begin their student life. Additionally, there are a wide range of student support and information services, as well as friendly and supportive staff, available to assist with any academic, non-academic, or well-being issues during their time at the university. We congratulate all the new students who joined the university and wish them a successful and enriching experience.
